Número de mortos por tornados e tempestades passa de 200 nos EUA

Is the most affected state of Alabama, with 131 dead.Damage was massive, said the governor.

The death toll from storms and tornadoes on Wednesday in the U.S. rose to 214, officials said on Thursday (28). There are dead in six states.
The most serious situation is in Alabama, with 131 dead. The governor said the state has suffered a "massive destruction of property."
Robert Bentley said the death toll to rise. He declared a state of "extreme emergency" and ordered federal aid to cope with the disaster.
In addition to Alabama, there are also killed in Mississippi (32), Tennessee (19), Georgia (13), Virginia (8) and Kentucky (1).
Authorities fear that the press and the number of victims grows.
The authorities declared a state of emergency in seven states: Alabama, Arkansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Tennessee and Oklahoma.
In all, the governors called out the National Guard to help in rescue operations and cleanliness.

Of a total of 50 states, 21 were affected by storms in a region stretching from the Great Lakes in the far north, to the Gulf of Mexico in the south.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has indicated that more than 300 tornadoes had been reported since last Friday, more than 130 on Wednesday.
President Obama ordered the government to "act quickly" in Alabama. He should visit the affected areas in Alabama on Friday, according to the White House.

The Alabama was the state hardest hit, swept by two lines of storms and a tornado that turned the city into ruins from Tuscaloosa, home of the University of Alabama.
Tuscaloosa Mayor Walter Maddox, told CNN that the tornado was "obliterated blocks and blocks" of the city, killing 36 people.
"Our infrastructure was absolutely devastated," he added. "When I see this trail of destruction in about five to seven miles (8 to 11 km) long by half or a mile wide, I do not know how anyone survived."
"There are parts of town that do not recognize (...). It is a tragic moment for our city," lamented Maddox.
A tornado also caused extensive damage in the city of Birmingham, but authorities still do not measure the damage.
"This was a very serious and fatal, that hit our state and still not finished," warned the governor of Alabama, Robert Brantley.
Terrified, the residents of Birmingham were trying to calculate the damage early on Thursday. While some expressed gratitude for still being alive, others mourned the loss of friends and family.
"There were wooden beams falling from the sky," says the store manager Jack Welch. "At least 30 homes were destroyed" near his establishment.
Some of the houses swept away by strong winds had located the wreckage up to 80 miles away. Dozens of cities are without power.
The wave of tornadoes is considered the worst natural disaster to hit the U.S. since Hurricane Katrina in 2005, while the site Accuweather.com said it was the worst season of tornadoes since April 1974 when 310 people died.

bulling

WHAT IS BULLYING?
Elaine Marini - Psychologist
The term covers all forms of aggressive attitudes, intentional and repeated that no evident reason, performed by one or more students against another (s) causing pain and distress, and performed in an unequal power relationship. Therefore, the repeated acts of equals (students) and the imbalance of power are the essential characteristics that make it possible to intimidate the victim. ABRAPIA ....... ......
The English word Bullying does not have a translation into Portuguese, but it does mean bully, bully, threat or intimidation, although there is still little known, refers to a common practice in schools.
The first to relate the word to the phenomenon was Dan Olweus, a professor at the University of Norway. When searching for the suicidal tendencies among adolescents, Olweus found that most of these young people had suffered some kind of threat and therefore, bullying was a bad fight.
Bullying are all forms of aggressive attitudes and intentional repetitive ridicule another. Attitudes like snide comments, jokes or nicknames that characterize someone, and other ways that cause pain and anguish, and executed within an unequal relationship of power that are key features that make it possible to intimidate the victim.
The Bullying is a worldwide problem, is found in every school, not restricting a particular type of institution. The bullying began to be researched about ten years ago in Europe when it was discovered what was behind many suicide attempts among adolescents. Usually parents and school has not paid much attention to the fact that the offenses generally felt too silly to have major consequences for the couple resorted to a desperate measure.
Currently, all UK schools have implemented policies anti-bullying. Studies of ABRAPIA showing no significant differences between the schools evaluated and international data. The big surprise was the fact that students here have identified the classroom as the site of highest incidence of such violence, while other countries, it occurs mainly outside the classroom, on time for recreation. How are students involved?
ABRAPIA according to surveys by the authors are generally people who have no empathy, often belong to dysfunctional families in which there is little relationship affection among its members. His parents have a poor oversight on them, tolerate and offer a model for resolving conflicts, aggressive or explosive. It is assumed that the perpetrators of bullying are likely to become adults with antisocial behavior and / or violent and could adopt, including criminal or delinquent attitudes.

The targets are people or groups who are disadvantaged or suffer the consequences of the behaviors of others and do not have the resources, status or ability to react or to stop the harmful acts against them. They are generally socially inept. A strong feeling insecurity prevents them from asking for help. They are people without hope in the possibilities to suit the group. Low self-esteem is compounded by critical interventions or indifference of adults about their suffering. Some believe them to be worthy of what is required.
They have few friends, are passive, quiet and do not react effectively to acts of aggression suffered. Many are replaced by low school performance, resist or refuse to go to school, getting to mimic diseases. Exchange of college often drop out or studies. There are young people, who by extreme depression end up attempting or committing suicide.
The controls represented by the vast majority of students, living with violence and are silent because of fear of becoming the "next victims." Although not directly suffer the assaults, many of them may feel uncomfortable with what they see and unsure about what to do. Some react negatively to the violation of their right to learn in a safe, supportive, and without fear. All this can influence negatively on their ability to progress academically and socially.

Interference in school.

When there are no effective interventions against bullying, the school environment becomes
totally contaminated. All children, without exception, are negatively affected,
going to experience feelings of anxiety and fear. Some students who witness
situations of bullying, when they realize that aggressive behavior does not bring
no consequence to those who practice it may find fit to adopt it.

Some of the cases cited in the press, as happened in the town of Taiúva, São
Paul in early 2003 in which one or more students entered the school armed, shooting
against whoever was in front, depicting reactions of children who are victims of bullying. This particularly some thoughts about it - after much suffering, these students used the weapon as an instrument of "overcoming" the subduing of the power:
- their targets in virtually all cases, there were students who were punished or the
intimidated. When they decided to react against all done school, because everyone would
if omitted and ignored her feelings and suffering.

The measures adopted by the school to control the bullying, if well implemented, involving the whole school community, contribute positively to the formation of a culture of non violence in society.

It is an initiative to the group of students who take against one or more colleagues, in a situation
unequal power, causing intimidation, fear and pain and suffering to others. And it's objective, educate students to respect differences while avoiding the drop in school performance, isolation, abandonment of studies and low self-esteem.

Central Park (in Portuguese: Parque Central) is a large park (with 341 hectares) within the U.S. city of New York, the state of the same name. It has an area of 3.4 square kilometers and is located in the district of Manhattan.

The park, which existed for 150 years, is considered by many New Yorkers, an oasis within the great forest of skyscrapers in the region. It is a place where people can slow down the frantic New York: people can sit on a bench and read the newspaper, chat with friends, play games, ride a bike or playing with children.

With approximately twenty-five million visitors annually, Central Park is the most visited park in the city and appears in many movies and television programs, making it known worldwide.

It was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, who later created Brooklyn's Prospect Park. Although the park looks natural, it is in fact almost entirely landscaped and contains several artificial lakes, hiking trails, two ice rinks, a living shrine and diverse fields.
